For integrated development of students, there is a need of physical, emotional, spiritual and moral development that can be supplemented by Co-curricular Activities. As it is digested by UCET, we put efforts to generate these ethical and moral values through Co-curricular activities or Extracurricular Activities. For the core development of students, UCET organizes following Co-curricular activities like
A well-known quote of swami Vivekananda is “A sound mind in a sound body”. It shows that sports not only give exercise to the body but also provide a good deal of excitement and entertainment to the brain. As sports serve an essential purpose to ensure good health every year UCET organizes Sports week “Unisports”, where students can participate in various indoor and outdoor games like Cricket, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Badminton, Chess, and Carrom etc. UCET also provides platform to the students to play at state level and national level Sports tournaments.
UCET aims at concentrating the youth power towards innovation in technology and development in various engineering sectors. Techfest provides platform for innovators and technically sharp brain students to place their innovation in front. “Spontania” at UCET provides such interactive platform for students of each discipline to come forward and exhibit their intellectual and creative ideas.
To develop an integrated personality in today’s generation some basic virtues like Positive thinking, Creativity, Enthusiasm and Teamwork, emotional development, intellectual development, social development, aesthetic and moral development are required. To implement these virtues, we, the UCETians celebrate Cultural Festival “Sanskruti” where through various forms of art – the social, political and other topics are discussed which leave positive impression in the mind of audience.
The Other Programs like “Sharadotsav” the garaba festival and “Tree plantation” the green day add feather to the crown of cultural festival.
Blood Donation and Thalassemia
We all are aware of the fact that no donation is as valuable as blood. After years of researches, it has been proved that we cannot manufacture the blood. It saves lives of many people so its importance is unavoidable and therefore UCET arranges blood donation camp every year where we inspire the students to donate blood.
Thalassemia is an inherited blood disorder that occurs because red blood cells from a person with Thalassemia don’t make hemoglobin. It causes disorders like anemia, weakness or short of breathing. There are mainly two types of Thalassemia i.e. Thalassemia major and Thalassemia minor. We make students aware by giving facility of Thalassemia testing at UCET campus every year so that they don’t inherit the dieses to the next generation.
